X-Ray Technician Schools offer a wide curriculum of programs to educate the x-ray or radiology technician in every aspect of his or her professional field. Many US states require certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists before an x-ray technician can accept employment as in the country’s healthcare system as a professional. In addition to x-ray technician schools, training for this medical technician field is offered by hospitals, colleges and universities, and vocational-technical institutes. X-ray technician schools offer instruction in anatomy, physiology, patient care procedures, radiation physics, radiation protection, medical terminology, radio-biology, and pathology. In addition to these courses, a student may also receive thorough instruction in the proper positioning of patients, medical ethics, and the principles of medical imaging.
